About the Role

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer - Focus on Security to join our consulting team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and securing cloud infrastructures for AI and data-driven systems. This role requires expertise in cloud computing, security best practices, and a keen interest in protecting modern cloud environments. You will collaborate with clients to build secure and resilient cloud architectures, assess potential risks, and implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and AI models.

Ideal candidates may come from a background in cloud engineering, cybersecurity, or AI but should have a strong passion for bridging these domains in a consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Secure Cloud Infrastructure Design: Architect and implement secure cloud solutions with a focus on mitigating vulnerabilities, ensuring data protection, and supporting compliance requirements.

Threat and Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct detailed assessments of cloud environments to identify security risks, including unauthorized access, data breaches, and misconfigurations.

AI & Data Security Integration: Collaborate with AI teams to implement security measures for AI models, including protecting training data, ensuring secure deployments, and mitigating risks like unauthorized access or poisoning attacks.

Identity and Access Management (IAM): Develop and manage secure IAM frameworks to ensure strict access controls for cloud resources and sensitive data.

Automated Threat Detection: Design and deploy AI-driven threat detection systems in the cloud to identify and address potential security breaches proactively.

Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure cloud architectures align with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR) and follow best practices for ethical and responsible AI deployment.

Client Collaboration: Interface with clients to understand their unique security requirements, deliver actionable recommendations, and provide guidance on building resilient cloud ecosystems.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), focus on security features and architecture is a plus.

• Fluent in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Go, Bash/Shell, Ruby

• An extensive experience containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, OpenShift

• A hands-on experience with configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.

• An extensive experience of working with version control tools, such as Git and CI/CD Pipelines

• An extensive experience of working with infrastructure as code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager

• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including encryption, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments.

• Hands-on experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), firewall configurations, and monitoring tools.

• Strong communication and consulting skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their associated security challenges is a plus.

• Certifications in security (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+) and/or relevant Cloud Computing certifications

• Understanding and expertise on the EU AI Act, compliance frameworks like GDPR, ISO 27001, or NIST.

• Familiarity with zero-trust architectures for AI systems.
